Today I received something from Taiwan that surprised the heck out of me!
These are what I got below...
A person who sent these to me is Kitty-san:) She is Taiwanese and a tiny bit older than me...haha!
She used to be one of my housemates and she was a waitress at the retaurant in Tokyo.
She was like my Mom...She cooked for me all the time, gave me good advice when i was down...she always took a good care of me. We shared a lot of memories together as well...sharing our cultures, exlporing Tokyo , karaoke, etc...
Now is the the cherry blossom season and the full blooming time(Mankai in Japanese) is around the corner...we were supporsed to do Hanami together but thats not gonna happen anymore...
She went back to Taiwan after the quake and tsunami that triggered an unfolding nuclear crisis...She had to leave even though she didn't want to...Not only her but most of my housemates who were forigners left Japan and went back to their own countries. Now the house is so empty.I feel like i am living in a haunted house.
Kitty-san and I have kept in touch through Skype since she went back. Everytime we talk, she always tells me, "I pray for Japan everyday. Each of us on the earth , we are all united as one family. For Japan, I will do what I can do from Taiwan." Love and kindness from Taiwan, and all over the world is just so warm...
I hope that not lonly Kitty-san, but tons of foreigners who were japanese lovers and had to leave after that disaster can come back to this amazing land, Japan soon!!
Thank you, Kitty-san for the amazing gift and your love for Japan!!!
Wo Ai Ni:D
